Are you registered with the Michigan Public Service
Commission to supply natural gas in Michigan? Yes.
Are you a Michigan based corporation? Yes. Our
home office is located in Midland, Michigan.
Are there any membership or other fees to sign up?
No, there are no additional fees.
Is the price fixed, or does it change? It is
fixed.
Is there a fee if I cancel the contract early? If
you were to change to another gas supplier while you hold a contract with
us, there could be "cash-out" costs. The cash-out costs would depend on
the market conditions at the time.
Do I need to sign a contract? Yes.
What is the length of the contract? Contracts normally expire on March 31st. Please be aware that once you enroll in the
Customer Choice program, you must use an alternate supplier (Bishop Energy
or another of your choice) for a minimum of 12 months.
What happens when my contract expires? Prior to
the expiration date we will contact you and provide you with our most
current programs to allow you to continue with Bishop Energy Services LLC
if you wish.
How does the gas get delivered? It is delivered
through the same pipelines currently connecting your facilities.
How do I get billed? You will be billed by your
utility company in the same manner you've always been billed. You will
still pay your utility company a delivery charge and a customer charge.
The cost of gas line item will now read Bishop Energy. After you pay your
utility bill, the utility will reimburse us.
Is the delivery charge more with Bishop Energy?
No, in fact in some cases we've found customers being overcharged
by their utility for the delivery of gas and we were able to get the rates
reduced.
